About the FP301-3 8-48″-YELLOW
This item is 3M FP-301 heat shrink tubing in the 3/8 in nominal size, yellow, supplied in 48 in (4 ft) lengths. FP-301 is a thin-wall, flexible polyolefin tubing with a 2:1 shrink ratio, so the 3/8 in expanded diameter recovers to approximately half that on full shrink. It recovers from 100 °C minimum, operates continuously from -55 °C to +135 °C, and provides flame-retardant insulation for 600 V-rated applications. The material is mechanically tough, resists cold flow and accepts marking. FP-301 carries UL Listing E-39100 and CSA certification and is qualified to SAE AS23053/5, with coloured grades falling under Class 1 of that specification. Coloured tubing supports circuit identification and phase or function colour-coding in harness work.
