The 3M Cubitron II Hookit Clean Sanding abrasive disc 31374 is a 6 in (152 mm) sanding disc in 180+ grade, supplied 50 discs per carton. It uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain — triangular ceramic mineral that 3M states cuts at least 30% faster and lasts at least 30% longer than conventional ceramic abrasives — so less operator pressure is needed for the same stock removal. The Hookit hook-and-loop backing allows fast disc change-outs and re-use of partially worn discs, while the Clean Sanding multi-hole pattern aligns with vacuum-ready backup pads for effective dust extraction at the interface. 3M positions the 180+ grade for sanding plastic body filler, rough featheredging, paint removal and the final sanding step before priming.
