The 2.5 mm cutting-diameter router in M.A. Ford’s metric fiberglass series — solid carbide tools with burr-style flutes for glass-reinforced plastics, cut onto the end face as well so the tool can plunge directly into a panel. At 2.5 mm this cutter offers a noticeably stronger core than the 2 mm size while still passing through tight internal radii, which makes it a sensible default for small-detail routing when the drawing does not force a smaller tool.
