The T0052921399N WXMP soldering handpiece is Weller’s WXMP MS micro soldering iron, a 40 W tool running at 12 V from a WX-series power unit and supplied without tips. It takes RT MS active-tip cartridges, in which the heating element and temperature sensor are integrated into the tip body itself; the practical consequence is a very short thermal path, quick recovery, and tip changes that can be made without waiting for a separate heater to cool. The handpiece is ESD-safe and is built in the MS (military standard) form of the range. A motion sensor in the body puts the iron into standby when it is set down and wakes it when picked up, and standby temperature and automatic switch-off times are held in the tool’s parameter memory. Its slim body and low mass are aimed at work under a microscope on miniature components. Manufactured in Mexico; HS heading 85151100.

Typical applications
The WXMP is the handpiece used for microscope-assisted board repair: replacing individual fine-pitch devices, dressing single joints and working on assemblies where a full-size 120 W pencil is too large to steer. Because the cartridge holds the sensor, the tool recovers quickly on small joints that would otherwise stall a conventional iron running at low set-point. It shares the WX power unit with heavier irons, so one station can serve both micro rework and general assembly.
