In the PG series the two numbers are simply the tube sizes being joined, so PG8-6 steps 8 mm tubing down to 6 mm in a straight line. Push-in fittings grip the tube on an internal collet and release it when the collar is pressed, which is why they are standard on compressed-air lines.
