Description

OV301 Precision Composites Curing Oven — BOLTON SKU 59818.

About the OV301 Precision Composites Curing Oven

The OV301 composites curing oven is a benchtop out-of-autoclave oven for curing and post-curing carbon and glass fibre laminates, prepregs, thermoplastics, castings and tooling. Temperature is not simply set to a target: ramp rate, soak temperature and soak duration are all programmable, so a manufacturer’s published cure and post-cure cycle can be stored and run automatically, which is what makes results repeatable between parts. Two vacuum ports pass through the oven wall so that vacuum lines can be taken to bagged parts inside the chamber, and the ports can be isolated independently, allowing two bags to be run at different pressures or one bag to be changed while the other stays under vacuum. As offered here the oven is supplied with two OV301 vacuum valve assemblies, an additional shelf, a 3 m vacuum pump extension power cable and an Australian and New Zealand pattern power lead.

Key specifications

Type Precision benchtop composites curing oven
Temperature control Programmable ramp and soak, storable cycles
Vacuum provision 2 integral vacuum ports, independently isolatable
Supplied accessories 2 x OV301 vacuum valve assemblies, additional shelf
Cabling supplied 3 m vacuum pump extension power cable
Power lead Australian and New Zealand pattern

Typical applications

An oven of this size is used for curing prepreg components and tooling where an autoclave is not available or not warranted, and for post-curing wet-laid and infused laminates to reach their full glass transition temperature. Two independently valved vacuum ports suit a workshop running more than one bag per cycle, or checking bag integrity on one part without disturbing another. The supplied second shelf increases the number of small parts that can be cured in a single programmed cycle.
