About the H3-C3-1.0t Zemic S-Type Load Cell, 1.0t
The H3-C3-1.0t S-type load cell is the 1 tonne capacity variant of the Zemic H3 family, an S-beam design that measures in both tension and compression. The body is nickel-plated alloy steel and the cell is sealed to IP67. It is accuracy class C3 to OIML R60 and is also NTEP approved, so it can be used in legal-for-trade weighing where the remainder of the installation is approved. The S-type body is loaded through threaded fittings at the top and bottom rather than through a mounting flange, which makes it straightforward to install directly in line with a suspended load or a tie rod without a separate mounting assembly. The H3 family spans 25 kg to 30 tonnes; at the 1 tonne rating this cell is specified where the load is modest but the C3 accuracy class still has to be met.

Typical applications
A 1 tonne S-type cell is typically used in hanging and crane scales, in small hopper and tank weighing frames where the vessel is suspended from several cells, and for in-line tension measurement on cable, web and rope systems. The tension and compression capability also suits force measurement on small test frames. IP67 sealing allows installation in wash-down positions and in outdoor-exposed locations.
