Description

DP0601 RTK GNSS (XL F9P — 0891B08A) NB! – without case — BOLTON SKU 69797.

About the Drotek DP0601 RTK GNSS Module, F9P, No

The Drotek DP0601 is an RTK GNSS board built around the u-blox ZED-F9P multi-band receiver. RTK (real-time kinematic) positioning works by combining the receiver’s own observations with correction data from a reference, which allows centimetre-level position solutions rather than the metre-level accuracy of a standalone receiver. The ZED-F9P tracks GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou signals and has built-in support for standard RTCM corrections, so it can work from a local base station or from a network RTK / virtual reference station service. Moving-base operation is supported, in which both base and rover move and the relative vector between them is computed — the basis of GNSS heading. Host interfaces are USB, UART, SPI and I2C, and the board is documented for -20 °C to +70 °C operation. This item is supplied without a case.

Typical applications

RTK GNSS boards of this class are integrated into unmanned aircraft and ground vehicles requiring precise navigation, into survey and mapping payloads, and into fixed base stations that broadcast corrections to a fleet of rovers. Dual-receiver arrangements are used to derive heading where a magnetometer is unreliable. Antenna choice, ground plane and cable routing have a direct effect on achievable accuracy and are normally fixed during integration.
