About the ABS Filament (1kg)-Black
This ABS Filament 1kg -Black item is a one-kilogram spool of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene filament for fused-deposition 3D printers, supplied in black. ABS is an amorphous engineering thermoplastic with a considerably higher glass-transition temperature than PLA, so printed parts hold their shape at elevated ambient temperatures where a PLA part would soften and creep. It is tough and impact-resistant rather than brittle, and it machines, drills, sands and can be vapour-smoothed with acetone, which makes it a practical choice where the printed part will be finished or post-processed. In exchange, ABS shrinks measurably as it cools, so it normally requires a heated bed and an enclosed or chamber-heated machine; open-frame printers tend to show corner lift and layer splitting on tall parts. Filament diameter is not recorded against this line — state whether you need 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm on your RFQ, along with any spool or packaging requirement.

Typical applications
Black ABS is generally chosen for functional parts that must survive handling and warm environments: enclosures, brackets, cable guides, tooling aids and fixtures. The dark pigment is useful where a part sits inside an optical assembly or a camera field of view and stray reflection has to be kept down. Because the material accepts sanding and acetone smoothing, it also suits parts that will be finished to a cosmetic surface or used as a pattern for casting.
