This item is bulk acetone supplied in a 200 litre (53 US gallon) drum. Acetone (propan-2-one) is one of the most widely used industrial solvents: it is fully miscible with water, evaporates quickly and leaves minimal residue, which makes it a standard choice for cleaning and degreasing metal and composite surfaces, flushing tools and equipment, and preparing bonding and painting surfaces before adhesives, sealants or coatings are applied. In composite and MRO shops it is routinely used for wiping down laminates and removing uncured resin from tools and work areas. Acetone is highly flammable and must be stored and handled in accordance with the applicable safety data sheet, with appropriate ventilation, grounding of drums during transfer and suitable personal protective equipment. Grade and certification requirements can be specified at quotation stage.
