Overview
The 3M Xtract 88849 is a mains-powered random orbital sander from 3M’s Xtract clean-sanding range, configured with a 150 mm pad and a 2.5 mm orbit for fine finishing work. It is the central-vacuum version, meaning sanding dust is drawn away through a rear hose connection to a dust extractor rather than into an on-tool bag. The unit supplied is the 240 V build with a Type G (UK-pattern) plug, supplied with 3M backing pad 89053. The accompanying photograph is illustrative of the 3M Xtract electric sander and shows a different mains-plug variant; the plug supplied is confirmed against RFQ.
