Description
DR-25-3/16-0 Tubing, Heat-Shrinkable, Thermofit DR-25 3/16″, Shrink Ratio 2:1, Elastomeric, Fluid & Abrasion Resistant — BOLTON SKU 59189.
About the DR-25-3/16-0 Heat Shrink Tubing
DR-25-3/16-0 is a size from the TE Connectivity (Raychem) Thermofit DR-25 family, a heat-shrinkable elastomeric tubing developed as a jacketing material for demanding cable harnesses. Unlike ordinary polyolefin sleeving, DR-25 is a flexible, rubber-like crosslinked elastomer engineered for long-term heat resistance and optimum high-temperature fluid resistance, with good abrasion performance. This 3/16 inch size is supplied at approximately 4.8 mm inside diameter and recovers to around 2.4 mm, a 2:1 shrink ratio; the -0 suffix denotes black. Distributor and manufacturer data quote an operating temperature range of −75 °C to +150 °C, with installation (recovery) at about 175 °C, and reference MIL-DTL-23053/16 for this tubing type. It is widely specified for military vehicle and airframe harness jacketing as well as motorsport looms.

Typical applications
DR-25 is the standard jacketing choice for high-reliability harnessing in defence ground vehicles, aircraft and UAV systems, where looms are exposed to fuels, hydraulic fluids, heat and abrasion. It is also used extensively by harness shops building sealed, boot-terminated assemblies.
