Description
Bosch GHG 180 Professional Heat Gun — BOLTON SKU 50846.
About the Bosch GHG 180 Professional Heat Gun
The Bosch GHG 180 technical component is a heat gun from the Bosch Professional range: a hot-air tool that directs a controlled stream of heated air onto a workpiece through a nozzle. Heat guns are used wherever a localised, flameless heat source is needed, which makes them the standard tool for recovering heat-shrink tubing and moulded shapes onto terminations, and for softening adhesives, coatings and thermoplastics. GHG is Bosch’s designation for its heat-gun family and 180 identifies this model within it. Power input, air-flow rates, the number of temperature settings and the temperature range, nozzle interface and the accessories supplied with the tool are stated in Bosch’s current specification for the GHG 180. BOLTON confirms those figures, and confirms the supply voltage variant of the tool, against that documentation at quotation.

Typical applications
In an electrical or harness shop a heat gun is used to recover heat-shrink sleeving, boots and moulded transitions over splices, terminations and connector backshells, where even heating matters more than raw output. In general maintenance it is used to soften and lift paint and adhesive residues, to release components bonded with thermoplastic adhesive, to warm and form plastic sections, and to dry or thaw assemblies in areas where an open flame is not acceptable.
