The Stahlwille 40080606 pairs a 6 mm open jaw with a 6 mm ring on a 105 mm shank, one step up from the smallest size in the range. Spanners in the Stahlwille OPEN-BOX 13 series are drop-forged from chrome alloy steel, hardened and oil-quenched, chrome-plated, and built with a 15° jaw angle, a ring end cranked 15° carrying the bi-hex AS-Drive profile, a reinforced jaw-to-shank transition and a double-T shank section. The 15° angle on the open jaw is what gives a small spanner its usable range of motion: turning the tool over between strokes halves the arc needed to index the fastener, so a nut can be run down in a confined pocket where a straight jaw would jam after a single flat. The round finish on the shank is more than cosmetic on a spanner this size, since there is little handle to hold and grip has to come from the surface itself. Typical applications
