The Stahlwille 77390001 is a tool holder for thread-cutting taps, listed as size 1 and rated for threads from M3 to M8. Taps are gripped by a two-jaw chuck that clamps the square shank at the top of the tap, so the tool has to accommodate a range of shank sizes rather than a single fixed one — here the clamping range is 2.0 mm to 5.0 mm.
