The Stahlwille 01050003 is an INHEX screwdriver bit socket for hexagon socket screws. It has a 1/4 in internal square at the drive end, so it fits directly onto 1/4 in ratchets, extensions and torque tools, and a 3 mm hexagon at the working end. Overall length is 55 mm, of which 30 mm is the hexagon blade — that blade length is what determines how deep a recessed socket-head screw the tool can reach. Outside diameter at the socket body is 10.7 mm. The bit socket is made to DIN 7422 and is specified for hand operation, not for impact or powered drivers. Typical applications
A 3 mm hexagon bit socket is used on small socket-head cap screws in instrument housings, avionics and electronics enclosures, optical and sensor mounts and light machine sub-assemblies. Running it on a 1/4 in ratchet or torque screwdriver gives far better control than a loose L-key, and the 30 mm blade reaches screws set down in counterbores. Because it is rated for hand operation only, it should not be used on impact drivers.
