About the Parker 6-6 MHN-S Hex Nipple Carbon
The 6-6 MHN-S is a male hex nipple from Parker’s instrumentation pipe fitting range, used to join two female NPT ports directly without an intermediate length of pipe. Both ends carry a 3/8 in NPT male taper thread, and the central hex flat is 3/4 in across, giving a spanner purchase for controlled make-up torque. The body is carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish for handling and storage protection, and the fitting carries a maximum operating pressure rating of 7,600 psi. In the Parker part-number convention the leading 6-6 identifies the two 3/8 in port sizes, MHN identifies the male hex nipple form, and the S suffix identifies the carbon steel material — a stainless variant of the same geometry is offered separately as 6-6 MHN-SS.
