About the SHOWA Atlas 380 Foamed Nitrile Palm
A palm-coated glove combines a knitted liner with a polymer coating applied to the palm and fingers only, leaving the back of the hand uncoated so the glove breathes and stays flexible. This SHOWA Atlas 380 technical component uses a foamed nitrile coating: foaming the nitrile leaves an open, textured surface that helps displace light oil at the contact patch, which is why foamed coatings are preferred over smooth ones for handling oily or damp parts. Nitrile as a coating material is also chosen for its resistance to abrasion and to many oils and greases encountered in workshop use. The glove is supplied here in size Large, and fit should be confirmed against the wearer, as coated gloves lose dexterity quickly if oversized.
