About the GEPRC GEP-F405-HD V2 Flight Controller
The GEPRC GEP-F405-HD V2 technical component is a flight controller intended for 3 to 5 inch FPV airframes, and in particular for HD builds that carry a DJI Air Unit or Vista video system. Processing is handled by an STM32F405 microcontroller, the F4-class part that most current firmware builds still target, paired with an ICM42688-P gyroscope for attitude sensing. Six UARTs are provided, which is what allows an HD video unit, a receiver, GPS, telemetry and a further peripheral to be connected without resorting to soft-serial or shared ports. Dual BEC outputs supply regulated power to the video system and to the receiver and peripherals separately, keeping a high-draw video transmitter off the same rail as the radio link. The HD designation reflects the connector and power provisioning intended for digital video rather than an analogue chain.
