Description
LOCTITE 222 THREADLOCKING SEALANT 50ML — BOLTON SKU 59022.
About the Loctite 222 Threadlocking Adhesive, 50 m Industrial
LOCTITE 222 is a low-strength, general-purpose threadlocking adhesive, supplied here in a 50 ml bottle. It is a single-component anaerobic adhesive based on dimethacrylate ester chemistry: it cures in the absence of air in the gap between close-fitting metal threads, locking and sealing the fastener against vibration loosening and leakage. As a low-strength grade it is intended for fasteners that must remain easy to disassemble with standard hand tools, which makes it the usual choice for adjustment screws, countersunk-head screws and set screws, and for small or lower-strength threads where a stronger grade could damage the part on removal. The liquid is purple and thixotropic, so it stays where it is applied rather than migrating. Henkel states a long-term operating temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C for the cured product.

Typical applications
Low-strength threadlockers of this class are used across MRO workshops, aerospace and defence maintenance environments and general industrial assembly wherever small threaded fasteners must be secured against vibration yet remain serviceable. Typical uses include instrument and equipment assembly, adjustment and calibration screws, and fastener retention on vehicles, machinery and electronic enclosures.
