About the TMS-SCE-1/8-2.0-4 Heat Shrink Tubing
This item is a yellow, printable heat-shrinkable identification sleeve in the 1/8 inch size of the TE Connectivity (Raychem) TMS-SCE military-grade marker range. The sleeve is extruded from flame-retardant, radiation-crosslinked polyolefin and is supplied in ladder form on polyester carrier strips so it can be fed straight through a compatible thermal-transfer printer. Its dimensions follow the part number: a 3.18 mm (1/8 in) supplied internal diameter and a 50 mm marker length, recovering to about 1.07 mm internal diameter at a 3:1 shrink ratio, with the final -4 denoting yellow. Distributor data gives an operating temperature range of −55 °C to +135 °C. The manufacturer datasheet states that printed marks are permanent as soon as they are printed and stay legible after abrasion and exposure to aggressive cleaning solvents, fuels and oils — the property that separates a qualified marker sleeve from ordinary printed sleeving.
