About the TMS-SCE-1/4-2.0-4 Heat Shrink Tubing
TMS-SCE-1/4-2.0-4 belongs to the TE Connectivity (Raychem) TMS-SCE family of military-grade heat-shrinkable wire identification sleeves. The sleeves are made from flame-retardant, radiation-crosslinked polyolefin and are supplied in a flat ladder format between polyester carrier strips so they feed directly from the box into a compatible printer. This size is supplied at 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) internal diameter and recovers to approximately 2.11 mm, a 3:1 shrink ratio, with a sleeve length of about 50.8 mm (2.0 inch); the -4 suffix denotes yellow. Distributor data lists an operating temperature range of -55 °C to +135 °C and a recommended cable diameter range of roughly 2.31 mm to 5.46 mm. Per the manufacturer datasheet, printed marks are permanent and remain legible after exposure to abrasion, cleaning solvents and military fuels and oils.
