About the PUDP-24V-S Receptacle Housing, 24-Pos 2 mm
The PUDP-24V-S is a JST PUD series receptacle housing: the plastic body of a wire-to-board crimp connector, not a complete assembly. It carries 24 positions arranged as two rows on a 2.0 mm pitch, giving a high-density double-row layout in a compact footprint. The PUD series uses a positive locking fixture and a keyed body so the housing can only be presented to its mating header one way round, seating with an audible click. Crimp contacts are supplied separately and are crimped to the wire before being inserted and latched into the housing, which is the normal arrangement for this connector family and allows the wire gauge and plating to be chosen independently of the shell. The series is specified for an operating temperature range of −25 °C to +85 °C and current PUD parts are RoHS compliant.

Typical applications
Double-row 2.0 mm crimp housings are used for internal wire-to-board interconnect inside electronic assemblies: controller and interface boards, instrumentation, sensor breakout looms and payload electronics where position count is high and panel space is limited. In workshop and MRO settings they appear in loom repair and rework on control units and test equipment. The mating header and the correct crimp contacts must be ordered to complete the interconnect.
