Description
SW433-ZB165 433MHz Straight Rod Antenna — BOLTON SKU 63805.
About the SW433-ZB165 433 MHz Straight Rod Antenna
The SW433-ZB165 is a straight rod (whip) antenna from NiceRF designed for the 433 MHz band. It is a 160 mm long rubber-clad rod terminated in an SMA interface, presenting a 50 ohm input impedance with a quoted standing wave ratio of 1.5 or better across the 433 MHz ±10 MHz band and a gain of 3 dBi. The vendor describes the construction as suited to high-power wireless data transmission and remote meter-reading links, with attention paid to vibration and ageing resistance. Being an omnidirectional monopole, it radiates broadly in the horizontal plane rather than in a preferred direction, which is why antennas of this class are normally used on nodes and handheld or vehicle-mounted terminals rather than on fixed backhaul links. Straight rod format keeps the mechanical footprint small compared with folded or articulated designs.

Typical applications
433 MHz rod antennas of this class are fitted to sub-GHz radio modules and telemetry transceivers in remote monitoring, SCADA and meter-reading installations. They are also used on UAV ground-segment equipment, portable data links and industrial sensor nodes where an SMA-terminated omnidirectional element is required. MRO and integration workshops commonly hold them as replaceable items on radio terminals.
