About the NMF-40-100 Masking Film 4m x 100m, 0.01mm
NMF-40-100 is NORDBERG’s plastic masking film, supplied as a roll 4 m wide and 100 m long in a 0.01 mm gauge of low-density polyethylene. The manufacturer’s own listing describes it as film for protecting surfaces during painting, repair and finishing work: it is used to cover areas before paint or varnish is applied, shielding body panels, glazing, mouldings and other parts from dust, splashes and excess sprayed material. Polyethylene film is chosen for this duty because it drapes readily over irregular shapes and can be cut to size by hand or with a blade, and a roll of this width and length covers a large area from a single put-up. It is a single-use workshop consumable, removed and discarded once the coating work is complete. Anti-static or solvent-resistance properties are not stated for this reference and are not claimed here.
