About the u-blox ANN-MB-00 Multi-Band GNSS Antenna, SMA
The ANN-MB-00 is u-blox’s multi-band active GNSS antenna, covering the L1 band together with L2/E5b/B2I and receiving GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou signals. It uses a right-hand circularly polarised dual-feed patch element followed by a built-in high-gain low-noise amplifier with SAW pre-filtering, so weak multi-band signals are amplified close to the element and out-of-band interference is attenuated before it reaches the receiver. The antenna is supplied as a sealed IP67 housing on a magnetic base with a 5 m cable terminated in an SMA connector, and is rated for -40 °C to +85 °C operation. u-blox positions the ANN-MB series as the reference antenna for its high-precision F9 receiver platform, which is why it is commonly specified as the known-good antenna when a multi-band receiver design is being brought up or benchmarked. The -00 suffix identifies the SMA-terminated variant within the series; sibling references carry different connector terminations on the same element and amplifier.
