About the STPS3H100U Diode 100
The STPS3H100U Schottky rectifier diode is an STMicroelectronics power Schottky rectifier rated at 100 V repetitive peak reverse voltage and 3 A average forward current, supplied in the surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) J-lead package with two-pin lead-frame construction. ST specifies the device for high-frequency, miniature switched-mode power supplies, mains adaptors and on-board DC/DC converters. As a Schottky device it shows negligible switching losses compared with a standard PN-junction rectifier, along with a deliberate trade-off between reverse leakage current and forward voltage drop; ST also lists high junction temperature capability and specified avalanche capability for the family. The surface-mount package allows reflow assembly on the same pass as the rest of the board.
