About the 3M PELTOR H10A Ear Muffs, Over-the-Head
The 3M PELTOR H10A Ear Muffs are the over-the-head model of the 3M PELTOR Optime 105 range, developed for hearing protection in demanding noise environments where exposures can reach around 105 dBA. The over-the-head H10A carries a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30 dB, which 3M cites as the highest available in this style. Attenuation comes from a distinctive double-shell earcup — two cups joined by a foam inner layer — that adds mass and volume to improve noise reduction across low and high frequencies, sealed to the head by soft liquid- and foam-filled cushions. The headband uses stainless steel construction that resists bending and warping in rugged workplaces. Replacement hygiene kits for cushions are available through 3M’s PPE programme.
