This item is a translucent silicone rubber sheet 1 mm thick, cut to a 305 x 305 mm (nominal 12 x 12 inch) square. Silicone rubber is a flexible elastomer valued for its stability across a wide temperature range relative to organic rubbers, its resistance to weathering, ozone and UV, and its inertness in many sealing duties; translucent (un-pigmented) sheet is the base form of the material, free of added colourants. A 1 mm gauge is easily cut with a knife, punch or scissors, making the square a convenient blank from which gaskets, seals, pads and spacers are produced in the workshop rather than bought as finished mouldings. Hardness grade and any specification or food-grade requirements are confirmed against the supplier record at quotation.

Typical applications
Square silicone blanks of this gauge are cut into flange gaskets, instrument seals, vibration-damping pads and protective interlayers where a thin, conformable elastomer is needed. The translucent material is also used as a masking and surface-protection layer during bonding and finishing work.
