About the S1125 Sealant, TE Connectivity
Raychem S1125 Sealant from TE Connectivity is a two-component high-performance adhesive consisting of an epoxy resin and hardener, formulated for superior chemical and heat resistance. It cures at room temperature and offers a working pot life of about 1 to 1.5 hours after mixing, with an operating temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C once cured. S1125 is the adhesive system specified for bonding heat-shrinkable products — moulded parts, boots, tubing, adaptors and back fittings — to cable jackets and connector hardware, creating environmentally sealed, strain-relieved terminations. It is supplied in kit formats such as pre-measured sachet kits (with mixing cups, sticks and abrasive paper) and dual-syringe bi-pack versions that keep resin and hardener separated until use, reducing mixing errors. Typical applications
Used in wire and cable harness fabrication to bond heat-shrink boots and moulded shapes at connector backshells, sealing against fuels, fluids and moisture in aerospace and defence harness environments. Also applied when repairing or re-terminating sealed harness transitions during maintenance.
