Mitutoyo’s Series 468 is its Digimatic Holtest range of three-point bore micrometers, and the 164 suffix pins this instrument to the 12 to 16 mm metric measuring span. Three-point contact self-centres the head in the bore, which is why this pattern is used for checking hole diameter and roundness rather than a two-point internal gauge.
