About the P28280-L064-10-1 Diestone Solvent Wipes
The P28280-L064-10-1 Diestone wipes are pre-saturated solvent cleaning wipes supplied in sealed pouches. Each wipe measures 15 by 23 cm, each pouch holds 100 wipes, and the box contains ten pouches. Pre-saturated wipes are used in place of a solvent bottle and a rag because the amount of solvent per wipe is fixed by the manufacturer, the pouch keeps the remaining wipes sealed against evaporation, and there is no open container of solvent at the workstation. DIESTONE is Socomore’s solvent cleaner range for surface preparation ahead of painting, bonding and sealant application, formulated with controlled volatility so that the surface is wetted long enough to lift contamination before the solvent flashes off. Typical applications
Wipes of this size and format are used for degreasing and final wipe-down of metallic and composite surfaces immediately before priming, adhesive bonding or sealant application, where any residual oil, mould release or handling contamination would compromise adhesion. Boxed pouches suit distribution to several work positions on a line, since each pouch is opened at the point of use and the rest of the box stays sealed. They are also used for wiping down tooling and bond fixtures between operations.
