About the DCA200H Silicone Conformal Coating, 200 ml
DCA200H Conformal Coating SCC3 Silicone Resin is the 200 ml aerosol of Electrolube SCC3, a flexible, transparent modified silicone resin coating developed to meet European and US defence requirements. The manufacturer’s data sheet lists approval to UK MOD DEF-STAN 59/47 Issue 4 and UL QMJU2 (approval E138403), a service temperature range of -70 °C to +200 °C, resistance to common solvents, lubricants and cooling fluids, and adhesion qualified against BS 3G100, MIL-STD-810C, RTCA DO-160A and ARINC 600 climatic conditions. The cured film is self-extinguishing with a dielectric strength of 90 kV/mm, contains a UV trace for coverage inspection, and can be soldered through for rework. A 200 ml aerosol covers approximately 8000 cm² at a 25 micron coat, and the aerosol carries NATO stock number 6850-99-253-0057.

Typical applications
SCC3 is applied to printed circuit assemblies that must meet defence and aerospace environmental requirements — telecommunications, radar and avionics electronics exposed to humidity, salt spray, mould growth and wide thermal cycling. The aerosol format suits prototype shops, rework stations and field maintenance where dip or spray-line equipment is not available.
