About the BSK-1 Lithium-Ion Battery Fire-Protection Box
The BSK-1 is a plastic transport and storage case with a Pyrobubbles filling, intended for lithium-ion cells and batteries. Internal volume is 41 litres, with external dimensions of 600 x 400 x 280 mm and internal dimensions of 520 x 320 x 245 mm. The case is red, stackable and supplied with a handle. Maximum gross weight is 22 kg, with a maximum hazardous-goods load of 8 kg. Typical applications
Cases of this construction are used to store and move lithium-ion batteries between a store, a workshop and a vehicle where the batteries are damaged, defective, prototype or simply held in quantity. The cable feed-through and pressure-relief grids allow a pack to be charged inside the case rather than on an open bench. The 8 kg dangerous-goods load and P908 declaration set the limit for what may be packed for transport under ADR.
