Overview
Weller WSW SCN M1 is a solder wire supplied under item number T0051402699 in the 1.0 mm diameter, 100 g reel size. The alloy is Sn99.3Cu0.6Ni0.05, a tin-copper composition with a nickel addition, and the wire is made with a guaranteed continuous flux core at 3.5% flux content from pure primary metal melts. Weller states that the nickel addition gives higher strength, that reduced iron leaching increases tool life and reduces tool consumption by up to 70%, and that the wire wets rapidly on difficult surfaces and leaves a shiny joint.
