The 600-02493 expandable cable sleeve is HellermannTyton’s article number for TH100X35BK-CR-BK, a black expandable sleeve from the Helsyn TH range moulded in chloroprene rubber. It is 35 mm long with a wall thickness of 1.00 mm and is dimensioned for cables from 10 mm diameter upward. Unlike heat-shrink sleeving, the material is highly elastic: the sleeve is stretched over the cable or fitting and relaxes back onto it, so no heat source is required and one size accommodates a range of underlying diameters. Chloroprene gives a continuous operating range of -65 °C to +95 °C, with intermittent exposure to 120 °C withstood. The product complies with BS requirements and is RoHS compliant. The black finish suits general harness and enclosure work where the sleeve is expected to be visually unobtrusive.

Typical applications
A short elastic sleeve of this length is used as a boot or transition cover rather than as a run-length sheath: sealing and tidying the point where a cable enters a gland or backshell, covering a joint or ferrule, and protecting an exposed section from abrasion.
