About the DRC12-40PA Connector, 40-Pin Panel Mount
The DRC12-40PA 40-pin connector is a rectangular receptacle housing from the TE Connectivity DEUTSCH DRC series, moulded in black high-performance thermoplastic with an integral mounting flange so it can be fitted through a bulkhead and sealed against the panel. It carries 40 positions and uses the A key pattern — one of several key variants that prevent mating between otherwise identical housings installed on the same machine. The housing accepts size 16 contacts rated at 13 amps each and is rated to 250 V DC. With its seals and grommets fitted, the assembly is rated IP68, and wire sizes from 14 to 20 AWG are accommodated. The DRC series is intended for environments where moisture, dirt and rough terrain contaminate electrical connections: sealing and grommet materials are selected to withstand engine and transmission temperatures, and the housings are shock and vibration resistant to DEUTSCH heavy-duty requirements.
