About the GHG5167306R0001 Eaton ATEX Plug, 16 A 3P
The GHG5167306R0001 ATEX plug 16 A is a 16 A explosion-protected plug from the GHG range of Ex plugs and receptacles, part of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds CEAG hazardous-area programme, which covers 16 A devices in three, four and five pole configurations. This variant is three-pole and rated 200 to 250 V, with the contact position given as 6 h in the standard clock-face notation used to keep incompatible voltages from being mated. It is released for Zone 2 and Zone 22, that is, areas where an explosive gas or combustible dust atmosphere is not expected in normal operation and would be present only briefly if at all. The body is supplied with one cable gland for the trailing lead. It is intended to be paired with the matching GHG socket of the same rating and clock position rather than used with general-purpose industrial connectors.

Typical applications
Three-pole 16 A Ex plugs at 200-250 V are used on single-phase portable and semi-fixed equipment in classified areas: inspection lighting, hand tools, small pumps, instrument trolleys and temporary supply leads in fuel, process and storage zones. The 6 h contact position keeps this plug from being mated into a socket of a different voltage band.
