Overview
Araldite AW 4858 resin with Hardener HW 4858 is a two-component, room-temperature-curing epoxy structural adhesive from Huntsman Advanced Materials. It cures to a black, tough and resilient paste adhesive with very high lap shear and peel strength and good moisture resistance, and its long pot life suits large composite part assemblies. The adhesive contains spacers that hold a minimum bond line of 0.05 mm, and it is available in cartridges incorporating mixers so that it can be dispensed ready to use.
