RESPIRATOR,HALF FACEPIECE,7503,LARGE,SIL — BOLTON SKU 69275.
About the RESPIRATOR,HALF FACEPIECE,7503,LARGE,SIL
This is the large body in the 7500-series reusable half-facepiece pattern — a silicone faceseal over the nose and mouth, an exhalation valve, a four-point drop-down head harness and a twin bayonet connection taking a matched pair of filters or cartridges. Within that family the number is the size code, and 7503 is the largest of the three, above 7502 medium and 7501 small. The large body has a longer and deeper faceseal, which is what allows it to bridge from the bridge of the nose to under the chin on wearers whose face length or jaw width causes the medium to sit high and leak along the chin. Selecting up a size is done on the outcome of a fit test, not by feel, because an oversized seal leaks just as a small one does. Silicone is specified where the mask is worn for long shifts or cleaned often. Filters and cartridges are supplied separately.

Typical applications
The large size is stocked in smaller numbers than medium and is drawn on specifically when a wearer fails a fit test on the medium body along the chin or jaw line. Stores that issue respirators personally normally hold all three sizes so a fit test can be completed in one session rather than reordering. It takes the same particulate filters and gas or vapour cartridges as the rest of the family, so a site running mixed sizes keeps a single filter stock.
