About the Semi-Hex Blind Rivet Nut M3x0.7 Stainless
A blind rivet nut is a threaded insert set from one side of a panel: the body is placed in a prepared hole, a setting tool draws the internal thread upwards, and the unthreaded section of the shank collapses into a bulge that clamps the sheet between that bulge and the head flange. The result is a load-bearing female thread in material too thin to tap. This variant has a semi-hexagonal body — hexagonal over part of its length and round over the remainder — which keys into a matching hexagonal hole to resist spin-out under tightening torque while remaining easier to insert than a fully hexagonal body. It is supplied in A4 austenitic stainless steel, the higher-corrosion-resistance grade of the ISO 3506 stainless classes.
