DR-25-3/4-0-SP is a heat-shrinkable tubing from the TE Connectivity (Raychem) DR-25 family, in the 3/4 inch nominal size with a black finish, supplied as a 30 m length. Heat-shrink tubing is manufactured expanded and cross-linked so that applying heat recovers it toward its original, smaller extruded diameter; the TE Connectivity DR-25-3/4-0-SP heat shrink tubing carries a 2:1 shrink ratio, meaning the recovered internal diameter is nominally half the supplied expanded diameter. That ratio is what governs the fitting envelope in practice: the tubing must slide over the largest obstruction on the assembly — a backshell, a splice or a breakout — and still recover down tightly onto the smallest section it has to grip. In the 3/4 inch size the tubing is aimed at larger single cables and at bundled harness sections rather than individual wires. Typical applications
Tubing at 3/4 inch is used over harness trunk sections, at breakout transitions where several branches leave a bundle, and over connector backshell-to-cable junctions that need a covered, abrasion-resistant transition. Cut lengths from a 30 m supply are used during harness build and during in-service repair, where a damaged outer covering is removed and replaced without disturbing the conductors beneath. The black finish is the standard choice for harnessing where a uniform, non-reflective external appearance is wanted.
