Description

TE Connectivity TMS-SCE-1/8-2.0-4 Heat-Shrink Wire Identification Sleeve, Yellow, 1/8 in — BOLTON SKU 55611.

About the TE Connectivity TMS-SCE-1/8-2.0-4 Heat-S Heat Shrink

TE Connectivity TMS-SCE-1/8-2.0-4 heat shrink tubing is a Raychem marker sleeve intended for permanent wire and harness identification rather than for insulation alone. The sleeve is extruded from flame-retarded, radiation-crosslinked polyolefin and recovers onto the conductor when heated, locking the printed legend in place. This variant carries the 1/8 in size designation and is supplied in yellow. Sleeves are designed to be printed on computer-driven thermal-transfer or dot-matrix printers, and the printed marks meet the permanence requirements of SAE AS81531 4.6.2 and MIL-STD-202F both before and after shrinking, so legends survive abrasion, cleaning solvents, fuels and oils. The sleeve material meets the performance requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/5, classes 1 and 3. Operating temperature range is -55 °C to +135 °C, the minimum recovery temperature is +85 °C and the maximum storage temperature is +40 °C.

Typical applications

Yellow sleeves at the 1/8 in size are typically applied to smaller-gauge signal and control conductors, where an identifier must stay readable for the life of the harness. Colour coding at this size is often used to separate circuit families within a single loom during build and later fault-finding. Because the marking system is qualified against military permanence requirements, the sleeves suit aerospace and defence harness manufacture and repair.
