The Ideal 45-2685 Wire technical component is a Custom Stripmaster hand stripper from IDEAL Industries, covering single conductors from 16 to 24 AWG. It is a die-type tool rather than an adjustable blade stripper: the jaws carry sized die openings so the insulation is gripped and drawn off at a fixed diameter, which is how the tool avoids nicking or stretching the conductor underneath.
