About the 666-4596 Cable Management
RS PRO stock number 666-4596 is a round, open-type cable grommet moulded in black PVC. It is designed to snap into a 7.2 mm panel hole and provide a smooth, insulating barrier so that cables of up to 5 mm diameter can pass through sheet-metal or plastic panels without chafing on the raw hole edge. The grommet suits panels of approximately 1.5 mm minimum thickness and simply pushes into the correctly sized hole, locking in place without adhesives or tooling. PVC gives a durable, flexible bushing with an operating temperature range of 0 °C to +85 °C. Being an open grommet, it leaves a clear central hole for the cable and is one of the standard sizes included in the RS PRO grommet assortment kits, making it a straightforward refill and production-line consumable.
