About the DT06-3S-C015 DT Series Plug 3-Way 16
The DT06-3S-C015 DT Series connector is a three-position plug housing supplied in grey. The DEUTSCH DT series is an environmentally sealed thermoplastic connector family used in vehicle, industrial and defence wiring harnesses. Within the DT numbering, DT06 identifies the plug side and the S identifies a housing that accepts socket contacts, so this half is the one that receives the pins of the matching DT04-3P receptacle. The item is designated for 16 AWG conductors, the size the three-cavity DT shell is normally built around. Like every DT housing it requires a wedgelock, which is pressed into the mating interface after the contacts are loaded and confirms that each contact is fully seated and correctly aligned; TE describes the wedgelock as a required component for all DEUTSCH DT housings rather than an optional accessory. Contacts are ordered separately, so a complete three-way plug assembly consists of this housing, three socket contacts and the corresponding three-way wedgelock.

Typical applications
A three-circuit sealed plug is the standard fitting for a sensor or actuator that needs supply, return and one signal line, which is why the three-way DT shell appears so often on engine, hydraulic and chassis harnesses.
