About the DT06-2S-C015 DT Series Plug 2-Way 16
The DT06-2S-C015 DT Series connector is the two-position member of the DT plug range, supplied in grey and designated for 16 AWG conductors. The DEUTSCH DT series is an environmentally sealed thermoplastic connector family used in vehicle, industrial and defence wiring harnesses. The DT06 prefix marks it as the plug half and the S marks a housing loaded with socket contacts, so it mates with the two-way DT04-2P receptacle carrying pins. Two-way DT housings are the highest-volume size in the family precisely because so much vehicle and equipment wiring reduces to a supply and a return, and the two-cavity shell is the smallest DT footprint available. A wedgelock is required to complete the assembly: it presses into the mating face once the contacts are loaded and verifies that both are fully home. Socket contacts and the two-way wedgelock are ordered as separate line items alongside this housing.

Typical applications
Two-way sealed plugs terminate the simplest circuits on a harness: lamps, solenoids, horns, fuel and washer pumps, and single-element temperature senders. On deployable and military vehicle platforms they are used for auxiliary lighting and accessory feeds that have to survive washdown and dust. Because only two cavities are involved, they are also the fitting most often replaced in the field, which is why two-way housings, contacts and wedgelocks are common repair-kit stock.
