This Cable Breakout Boot technical component is a RAYCHEM 301A series heat-shrinkable moulded part, part number 301A028-25/225-0. Its geometry is a T shape with three branches, so a single trunk cable can be split into two legs at a controlled, sealed junction. The sizing range is 20 mm down to 10.2 mm with a 2:1 shrink ratio, and the part is supplied glued — adhesive-lined, so that as the boot recovers under heat the lining flows and seals against the cable jackets rather than merely gripping them. The moulding is black crosslinked elastomer, material system 25: a semi-rigid formulation with resistance to abrasion, chemicals and fluids, including long-term exposure at elevated temperature. Operating temperature range is -75 °C to +150 °C, with an installation temperature of 175 °C. The result is a breakout that provides both environmental sealing and strain relief at the transition.

Typical applications
