Description
YPG 20A SBEC Brushless ESC, 2-12S — BOLTON SKU 53635.
About the YPG 20A SBEC Brushless ESC 2-12S
This YPG 20A SBEC technical component is a switching battery eliminator circuit for brushless power systems, quoted with the following electrical parameters. The input range is 6 V to 50.4 V, corresponding to a 2 to 12 cell lithium battery pack, so a single unit can be carried across a wide span of pack voltages without changing the regulator. Regulated output voltage is selected by jumper across five settings — 5 V, 5.5 V, 6 V, 7 V and 9 V — allowing servos, receivers and payload electronics with different supply requirements to be fed from the same module. Maximum output current is 20 A. Quiescent current draw is between 60 µA and 200 µA, which is the relevant figure when a pack is left connected between sorties. The module measures 45 mm × 26 mm × 8 mm and weighs 30 g.

Typical applications
A switching regulator with a 20 A output and a 2 to 12S input window is normally specified where several high-torque servos or a servo plus payload rail must be run directly from the main propulsion pack. The jumper-selected output makes it useful on airframes standardising on a single regulator part number across variants that use 6 V and 7 V servo rails. The low quiescent draw matters for stored or standby-armed assemblies where the pack stays connected between uses.
