About the Futaba J-F In-Line Plug, 3-Pin Female Crimp
This is the female half of the Futaba J connector, the standard three-pin in-line interface used on Futaba-style servos, receivers and related radio-control equipment. The J pattern places three contacts on a 2.54 mm (0.1 in) pitch and is polarised by an alignment rib on the signal-pin side of the female connector, which engages a matching slot on the male half so the connector can only be mated in the correct orientation. The connector is assembled by crimping contacts onto discrete leads — typically 22-26 AWG servo wire — and inserting them into the housing, allowing custom-length servo extensions and harnesses to be built. The three positions carry signal, positive supply and negative supply between a receiver or flight controller and the servo. It mates with the corresponding Futaba J male (receptacle) connector.
